Butler Named Pennmarva President
Fred G. Butler, an Inwood,
West Virginia dairyman, was
elected president of the Penn
marva Dairymen’s Cooperative
Federation at its fourth annual
meeting recently in Washington,
D. C,
Butler, vice president of
Pennmarva for the last year,
succeeds Walter A. Martz,
Frederick, Maryland, as
president of the 5,000 member
dairy farmer federation. It in
cludes those farmers who are
members of the Inter-State Milk
Producers’ Cooperative,
Philadelphia; Maryland
Cooperative Milk Producers,
Baltimore; and the Maryland &
Virginia Milk Producers
Association, Arlington, Virginia.
Elected vice president of
Pennmarva was Lester C. Jones,
Medford, New Jersey, a member
of Inter-State; re-elected
secretary was Dr. Paul E. Hand,
Warminster, Pennsylvania,
Inter-State, and Boyd M. Cook,
Boonsboro, Maryland, MCMP.
The board of directors for
Pennmarva includes: William
Brinsfield, Cordova, Md., Willis
L. Greaser, Williamsburg RD2,
Pa.; Lester C. Jones, W. Levis
Phipps, Wilmington, Del., and
Wilbur Seipt, Lansdale, Pa.,
representing the Inter-State
membership. Fred G Butler,

Pennmarva Federation has
played a major role in a number

include the merging of the three
Federal Milk Marketing Orders
governing the Baltimore,
