48 Lancaster County ASC Convention
The Lancaster County com
munity committeemen of the
Agricultural Stabilization and
Conservation (ASC) program
have been elected for 16 com
munity districts throughout the
county.
These community com
mitteemen, three from each of
the 16 areas for a total of 48, will
be delegates at the county con
vention at which one member of
the group will be elected for a
three year term on the county
ASC committee The convention
will be held at 10 a.m Thursday,
December 16 at the Farm and
Home Center
The county committee has
three members, each serving
three years on a staggered basis.

The county convention will be
open to the public
The county ASC committee is
charged with the administration
of farm programs, delegated to
ASCS by the U.S Secretary of
Agriculture In Lancaster County
ASCS administers the feed gram
and wheat set-aside programs,
the Rural Environmental
Assistance Program
Cropland Adjustment program,
wool program and price-support
programs for commodities and
storage structures
The 48 members of the com
munity committee who will serve
as convention delegates, as well
as the alternate delegates, are by

important because it teaches
children how to use their hands
and prov ides for the expression of
ideas It also frees the
imagination, allows for the use of
initiative, stimulates the powers
of observation and develops
resourcefulness
Dramatic Housekeeping
equipment, tram systems and
dress-up costumes stimulate
dramatic play This type of play
also encourages imaginative
expression and helps the child
learn, through imitating adult
activities

several children can take part
