Fix-It Tip
Lamps that flicker or fail
to light need repair, not re
placement The electrical
parts of a table or floor lamp
are worth pennies and can
be replaced easily and in
expensively.
More than just saving the
lamp is involved, however
Repair will eliminate a po
tential electucal hazaid
Make the obvious checks
first The bulb may be
burned out The lamp cord
may be disconnected The
wall outlet may be controlled

Eastern
Eastern Milk Producers
Cooperative Association, the
nation’s leading fluid milk
bargaining cooperative, recently
sponsored its seventh annual 4-H
winter tour to the Royal
Agricultural Winter Fair in
Toronto, Canada, as part of its
encouragement to farm youth
program.
Ninety-two prominent 4-H’ers
and chaperones from the states of
Pennsylvania, New York, and
Vermont were recognized by
Eastern Milk Producers for their
dairy judging and showmanship
achievements during the past
year.
This year, the Vermont 4-H’ers
joined the tour for the first time.
Because of the overwhelming
success of the 1970 trip, when
Pennsylvania was added,
Eastern’s Board of Directors
decided to again expand the
program to benefit more young
people interested in cattle
judging.
The entire group attended the
Royal Horse Show on November
15, and witnessed some of the
finest horses in the world com
pete in various classes.
On November 16, at the Royal
Winter Fair, which is the world’s
largest agricultural fair under
one roof, the 4-H youths observed
the judging of hundreds of the
finest dairy cattle on the North
American continent

There were many other
exhibits and displays, both
agricultural and commercial,
which were taken in by the
youngsters at the exposition.
Huge displays of agricultural
produce, farm machinery and
dairy products, including the
“Hockey Player” butter display,
took up much of the floor space in
the coliseum.
