Manheim YF Has Tour The Manhiem Young Farmer Association toured several farms in Berks and Lehigh Counties November 18. The tour started at 7:30 a.m. from Manheim Brethren Church and included a tour of the Mack Truck Plant in Allentown. Several area farms were toured indluding Lehigh Valley Dairies, a beef operation, and a 700 acre grain and dairy operation. The farm of the past state Young Farmer president, Carl Miller, of Kutztown, was visited and Miller was the tour guide along with the Kutztown Young Farmer Association. 4-H Hay Ride Set A hay ride and ice skating party has been scheduled for Lancaster County 4-H’ers at the Farm and Home Center begin ning at 7 p.m Friday, December 10. Ticket to the event will be a donation for a needy family. The item can include canned food or other useful items, according to Miss Joan Lucas, assistant Lancaster County home economist. 7
