    Being honored at the 1971 annual
meeting of the Pennsylvania Association of
Farmers Cooperatives recently were: left
to right, Elmer Schriver, Gettysburg: Jay
W. Irwin, associate Lancaster County ag
agent, both received the Master Educators
award to “recognize outstanding con
tributions by educators for their effort and
achievement in off-farm business
and agriculture"; Eli Wiggins, Camp Hill,
Harrisburg, recipient of the Distinguished
Award, and J. Kenneth Stern, who
presented the. awards.

Manheim Youth Elected
National Club President
Daniel H. Rohrer 111, of
Manheim, an agricultural
mechanization senior at Penn
sylvania State University, was
elected president of the National
Council of Affiliated Student
Clubs during the 64th annual
meeting of The American Society
of Agricultural Engineers in
Pullman, Washington.
Rohrer has served the Penn
State Agricultural Mechanization
Club as President and chairman
of several committees during his
four years at the University. He
has attended American Society of
Agricultural Engineers meetings
in Chicago and Pullman,
Washington, as a student
delegate from Penn State.
Besides being an affiliated
student member of the American
Society of Agricultural
Engineers, Rohrer has been
active in undergraduate student
activities including Agriculture
Student Council and the In
terfratemity Council. He enrolled
at Penn State after graduating
from Hempfield High School in
Lancaster County.
The American Society of
Agricultural Engineers has
encouraged the formation of
individual Affiliated Student
Clubs at Universities where there
are groups of students in
curricula related to agricultural
engineering.
The Penn State Agricultural
Mechanization Club meets every
Lancaster Laboratories, Inc.

Club is a charter member of the
National Council of Affiliated
Student Clubs of which Rohrer is
now president.
Chicken Perfume?
Certain poultry management
systems, through the exhaust
fans, disseminate objectionable
odors. It has been reported that a
certain product, manufactured
by a perfume concern m New
York, will effectively control
these odors immediately.
The product is Neutroleum
Alpha and one (l) cc placed in a
10,000 cfm fan housing with an
eyedropper will do the trick of
controlling odors for 18-20 hours.
The product will not control
odors outdoors or the excessive
odors generated by a clean-out. It
is made up of ingredients on the
Federal “Generally Recognized
as Safe” list.
