fully 25c higher unders con
tinued good demand. Cows
steady to 25c lower. Bulls firm,
feeder cattle and calves fully
steady with a fairly good at
tendance of farmer-feeder
buyers on hand the forepart of
week.

steers approximately 37 percent
with a predominance Good to
Average-Choice, heifers 35
percent, with fairly liberal
percentage Choice and a
moderate volume High-Choice
and Prime. Cows 9 percent,
feeders 17 percent. Fed cattle
market showed a considerable
measure of stability under the
steadying influence of a firm
carcass trade. The latest cattle
on feed report seemed to indicate
that marketings are current and
was considered mildy bullish for
the immediate future by most
trade interests. Shippers and
order buyers again fairly
aggressive for cattle to be
slaughtered outside the im
mediate Omaha area.
Average cost slaughter steers
first three days 32.06 average
weight 1104 lbs as compared 31.90
and 1108 lbs previous week and
28.43 and 1103 lbs a year ago.
