    Chester County 4-H Girls Show Top Hampshire Ewes
Ann Baroni, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Angelo Baroni,
Downingtown, received top
honors at the Chester-Delaware
Counties 4-H Sheep Show recently
at Rose Tree Hunt Club in
Delaware County.
Ann was named the top junior
fitter and reserve champion
showman while exhibiting the
grand champion Hampshire
Ewe.
Joan Lieseu, Spring City, was
named senior champion fitter
and also exhibited the reserve
champion ewe.
Daniel Vain Vleet, Pottstown,
was named champion junior
showman.
Results for the fitting class,
based on members’ ability to
prepare sheep for show, were:
Blue ribbons designating
superior ability were presented
to Ann and Jeffrey Baroni,
Downingtown, and Joan Liesau,
Spring City.
Red ribbons for excellent were
awarded to Carla and Linda
Schaefer, Spring City; Holly

In the Hampshire lamb class,
blue ribbons designating superior
quality of the animal were
presented to Jeffrey and Ann
Baroni, Jor i Liesau and Daryl
Schaefer, and Steven Van Vleet.
Red ribbons for excellent
animal quality were awarded to
Carla and Linda Schaefer.

The grand champion and reserve grand champion
Hampshire ewes for the Chester-Delaware Counties 4-H
Fair were exhibited by two Chester County 4-H girls. Joan
Liesau,jleft, of Spring City, exhibited the reserve champion
while Ann Barom, Downmgtown, exhibited the grand
champion. Ann was also the junior chanpion fitter and
reserve champion showman, while Joan was senior cham
pion fitter for the show.
Ewe Class blue ribbons were Joan liesau, and red ribbons to
presented to Ann Baroni, Joan Linda Schaefer, and Holly
Liesau, and Daniel Van Vleet. Scheib.
In the Other Breeds Ewe Lamb
In the Hampshire Aged Ewe class a red ribbon was presented
blue ribbons were presented to to Beth Lawyer.
Stephen Van Vleet, Left, of Pottstown, exhibited the first
place Hampshire lamb at the 1971 Chester-Delaware
Counties 4-H Fair, while his brother Daniel was junior
champion showman.
