Mrs. Milton Eberly, president, announced that tickets are still available for the visit of Nan Wiley Oct. 1 at Centerville Junior High School auditorium. Mrs. Jack Henderson, Lancaster RD6, is in charge of tickets for the performance which will benefit the county project of the Farm Women which is the Child Development Center. In other business, the women slated a visit for the group to the Corning Glass Works on Oct. 13. “The Art of Cake Decorating” was the theme of a lecture demonstration by Mrs. Richard S. King, Mountville, a member of Society 4. Next meeting of the group will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 10,at the home of Mrs. Bertha Keller and Misses Lela and Stella Coble, Elizabethtown RD3. Society 7 Farm Women Society 7 held their September meeting at the home of Mrs. Charles H. Rohrer, Paradise, with the cohostess, Mrs. J. Arthur Rohrer, leading devotions. Resignations were accepted from Mrs. Roy Lawyer and Mrs. Menno Stauffer. A donation of $5O was given to the county project, the Lancaster Child Development Center. Money was also donated to the nutritional program for Lan caster County underprivileged and to the Needlework Guild. It was decided that a benefit for the Darlene Weidman Fund would be held to defray future expenses. Society women volunteered to be hostesses to German women touring Lancaster County. Tickets for the Nan Wiley program on October 1 at the Centerville High School are available through the president, Mrs. Mildred Hersh. An nouncement was made of the County Convention to be held November 6 at the Farm and Home Center. Mrs, Hazel Crankshaw presented original poetry and prose as entertainment. The October meeting will be the birthday luncheon to be held at the Good and Plenty Restaurant at 12:30 p.m. October 9. The program, under the direction of Mrs. Carlton Hom sher, will be ‘Fashions Old and New’ with members modeling their own clothes from the year 1900 to the present as well as. fashions from Dee E.
