From breeding time, feed 4 to 6 pounds per day depending on
sow's condition. Part of feed may be replaced by silage, pasture
or hay. Do not overfeed sows. Four weeks before farrowing, in
crease feed and decrease forage, if fed. By one week after far
rowing, sows should be on full feed. Gradually decrease feed start
ing when pigs are 4 weeks of age. Flush sows just ahead of breed
ing, then repeat above schedule.
