Prize Holstein to Be Sold at Black and White
This is Rockledge Idol Tracey,
the prize 1970 Junior All-Ameri
can two year old which will be
the featured attraction at the an
nual Black and White Show and
Sale July 16.
The animal was bought Mon
day by Charles C. Myers from
Robert Bigsby. Lawrence, Kan
sas, especially for the annual
show It will be one of 151 dairy
cattle at the Lancaster sale.
Rockledge Idol Tracey has a
number of awards besides 1970
Junior All-American, including
first 4-H senior yearling and jun
ior champion in 1969; reserve All-
Kansas two year old in 1970, first
place two year old at the Kansas
All-Breeds Junior Dairy Show in
1970, first place as a two year
old in the District Black and
White Show and senior champion
and grand champion in 4-H open
competition in 1970, first in class
and reset vc grand champion in
the Mid-America Fair, and other
awards
As a two year old, Tracey pro
duced 13,800 pounds of milk and
630 pounds butterfat with a 46
per cent test in 299 days.
In 158 days of her second lac
tation, she has produced 8,310
pounds of milk and 369 pounds
of butterfat for a 44 per cent
test
She was bred April 14 to Os
