The meeting was opened by the club president, Janice Zeiset, leading the club pledge. The club picnic was discussed and a food committee was elect ed. N, Church St. 786-7361 Penn Willows 4-H Club The Penn Willow Community Club and the foods projects clubs had a combined meeting at 11 a.m June 30 The Cook ing-Over-Coals Club prepared tossed salad and barbecued chicken while the Tricks for Treats Club prepared biscuits and fruit kabobs. This was served by the 15 members of the Club to our County Extension home econo mist Miss Joan Lucas, five guests from Wisconsin, and four leaders. During the meeting Miss Lucas gave the club members and guests a nutrition quiz Members will meet individual ly next Wednesday, July 7 for their regular project meeting. Lincoln Community 4-H The monthly meeting of the Lincoln Community 4-H Club was held at 8 pm. June 22 at the Glenn Wissler Farm. For Fun Day, it was decided to go to Spring Lake to swim on July 21. Meet at the Penryn Fire Hall. Rain date is July 28. Two girls were elected to be 4-H queens. Junior queen is Martha Bomberger and the senior queen is Betsy Bomberg er. After group meetings, re freshments were served by Joan and Janic£ Lapp and Carol Ebersole. Kookie Kooks 4-H Club The second meeting of the Penn Manor Kookie Kooks was held Wednesday, June 30 at the Penn Manor Middle School Home Economics room. The meeting was called to order by saying the 4-H pledge. In answer to the secretary’s roll call members cited their fa vorite food. Under new business, the club elected 4-H queens. Junior queen Susan Eckenrod and senior queen Judy Thomas will represent the club. Then the club divided into groups. The senior girls made meat balls (Polpettine) and green salad. The younger girls made corn bread and tuna salad. The next meeting will be held at 11 a.xn. July 7. News Reporter, Charlene Wagner Elm-Penryn 4-H Club The Elm-Penryn 4-H Club held a meeting at the Penryn Fire Hall recently. Family night, where parents could sit and listen while the meeting took place, was also held the same night. The fund raising campaign was a success.
