The 94 Lancaster County FFA members who entered contests received 21 gold medals, 12 silver and 14 bronze. In addition, six were awarded trips to national contests at Kan sas City, Mo., this fall; six to the Eastern States Exposition at Springfield, Mass, and three to the Atlantic Rural Exposition at Richmond, Va The strong showing included Farm Calendar Saturday, July 3 Kutziown Folk Festival, July 3- 10. Rohrer placed first among 34 entries, earning a gold medal and a trip to Kansas City for the national contest. The contest was won by the Minnesota entry, with Nebraska claiming the runner-up spot, Miss Krantz reported.
