per cent of its 1967 average This
index was up five points or four
per cent from a year earlier
As a result of the combination
of lower prices received and
higher prices paid, the new
Prices Received Prices Paid
Ratio stood at 93, .down two
points from a montlr earlier, four
points below a year earlier.
Under the old system, based
on the 1910-14 averages. Prices
Received declined two points
from a month earlier, but
one point from a year earlier
But, Prices Paid advanced three
points to 407, up 18 points fiom
a year earlier and the Parity
Ratio dropped one point—to 69
It had stood at 72 a year earlier,
the USDA said
