Receiving a standing ovation as the home talent feature for his piano recital was 10 year old John Schucker, Tulpehocken, son of Mr and Mrs. Charles E. Schucker Jr His presentation included classical selections by Rachmaninoff, Mendellssohn, Chopin and Brahms John, a fifth grade student at Tulpe hocken elementary school where he is a member of the Junior band, has been studying piano only two years He prac tices four to five hours daily. He also plays the flute and plans to take organ lessons in the near future He has com posed several piano pieces and enjoys singing. John plays the piano in his church, Altalaha Lutheran Church, Rehrersburg, some times accompanying the choirs or participating in a piano-or gan duet with Mrs. Harvey Hill church organist. Mrs. Sheldon Risser, Robesonia, is his piano teacher. Also appearing on the Rally program was the Reverend Clarence Rahn who spoke on “The Beauty of Apple Blos soms.” The Annual Spring Rally is a social event planned by the State Society Mrs Virgil Dupp stadt, state president, however conducted a brief executive board meeting following the Rally to make plans for a group of German Farm Women to tour Pennsylvania farms on a visit here in October. Mrs. John Hess, Columbia RD2, president of Lancaster County Farm Women, was named chief hostess in charge of planning for the visit. Our Editorial Page is the fourth Page of Section Two.
