we expect the disenchantment with anti
pollution to grow. .
But there are also very basic, sound
reasons why we need a clean environment
and why this need will continue to grow. In
the long term, if we are to continue to have
as a goal the promotion of a better world in
which to live, a clean environment must
take on increasing importance. This is true
simply because people who believe in a
better world and a better future will not
long tolerate ugliness and an ugly environ
ment.

those who are in the anti-pollution Move
ment with the long term goal of helping to
make the world a little better place in

Society of Farm Women 2 met
at the home of Mrs. Layser
Shenic, Manheim RD4 on Satur
day, May 8. Mrs. Abner Brandt
was co-hostess. Mrs. Blodwen
Brandt of Manheim was installed
as a new member by Mrs. Roy
Shelly. Mrs. Grace Hahn had
charge of devotions.
Donations were given to two
needy families, and a bus trip
was planned for May 22 to Long
wood Gardens and the "Wax
Museum.
Mrs. Lillian Kopp from the
J C. Penney Store in Harris
burg showed slides and talked
on “Decorating.” The next
meeting will toe held June 12
