License Suspended
The produce trading license of
Wit-Mor Foods Inc., Morgan
town, W. Va., has been suspend
ed for failing to pay a reparation
award of $6,185 issued under the
Perishable Agricultural Com
modities Act, the U S Depart
ment of Agriculture has report
ed.
C&MS officials said 15 produce
firms in Pittsburgh, complained
that the West Virginia firm had
failed to pay in full for various
shipments of fruits and vege
tables purchased. When advised
of the complaint, Raymond Wit
mer Jr, President of the firm,
answered the charges and admit
ted his firm owed part of the
amount claimed due USDA’s
Judicial Officer ordered pay
ment of the amount the firm ad
mitted owing the Pennsylvania
firms.
