State Announces New Boat Policy
Acting Secretary of the De
partment of Environmental Re
sources, Maurice K Goddard,
announced recently that a new
boat launching and mooring
policy has been established on
all department operated im
poundments effective this
Spring
In announcing this new boat
ing policy, Secretary Goddard
stated that “the department is
stuving to provide the public
with the best possible boating
facilities and experiences while
still protecting and maintaining
the quality of both land and
water lesouices ”
“The rapid growth and popu
larity of recieational boating
has and is making increasing de
mands upon department opeiat
ed facilities, especiallj in re
gards to overnight mooring
space A detenoiation of the re

or unlimited overnight boat

The new boating program has
been divided into two phases
