Cited Under PACA
National Fruit & Produce Co.,

burgh, Pa., has failed to pay a
reparation award of $3,908 is
sued under the Perishable Agri
cultural Commodities Act, the
UJS. Department of Agriculture
reported recently.
Officials of USDA’s Consum
er and Marketing Service said
the Pittsburgh firm has been
found to be bankrupt. The
firm’s officers, directors and
stockholders —Anthony Joseph
Scarpaci, Joseph Leonard Scar
paci and Frank Thomas Scar
pad—are not entitled to con
duct business under the PAC
Act, nor may they be employ
ed by any PACA licensee with
out USDA’s approval.

Association tour April 1.
Leaving Ephrata High School
in a chartered bus at 7:30 a m,
the group will return to the
same location at 8 30 p m
The morning program includes
a tour of the Vencenti mush
room operation at Kennett
Square, followed by a visit to
the Hagley Museum at Green
ville, Del.
Following lunch at the GM
cafeteria at Newport, Del, the
group will tour the firm’s auto
mobile assembly plant.
The Young Farmers will move
on to tour the ship dock at Wil
mington, Del., then come back
to Longwood Gardens at Ken
nett Square.
