Rohr erstovm, presented 16 trophies to outstanding dairymen at the firm's Third Annual Dairy Awards Luncheon at Willow Yalley Restaurant Wednesday. The awards were mainly for high herd averages and high in dividual cow records High herd average went to Isaac Zimmerman, Lebanon RDS, with 13 cows showing an average of 18,228 pounds of mlk and 714 pounds of butter fat. Bare Bros, Hershey and Harold of Valley Pond Farms, Lebanon RD2, had the top in dividual cow in 1970 with a 364 day record of 26,541 pounds of ■niHr and 961 pounds of butter fat. Special award for high milk increase went to Howard H Gelsinger, Robesoma RDI, whose 42 cows averaged 13,674 pounds of milk, an increase of 1,380 pounds over the previous year. The herd also had 536 pounds of butterfat. High butterfat increase went to B. Frank Eshelman, Manheim RDI, whose herd averaged 14,- 435 pounds of milk and 532 pounds of butterfat, an increase of 60 pounds of butterfat foi the 60 cow herd. Other high herds were Bare Bros., Lebanon RD2, 59 cows with 16,421 pounds of milk and 606 pounds of butterfat; Harold J. Ranck, Cochranville RD2, 30 cows with 16,128 pounds of milk and 623 pounds of butter fat; G. Hershey Hostetter, Gap BDI, 27 cows with 16,122 pounds of milk and 627 pounds of butterfat, and John S. Stoltz fus. Atglen RDI, 50 cows with 15,577 pounds of milk and 624 pounds of butterfat. Owners of other top individual cows receiving recognition were.
