The assessment now being
collected by the Association
from its members for milk
marketing and numerous other
services designed to protect and
benefit all dairymen in Eastern
will be reviewed and acted
upon.
Topics of discussion will in
clude mandatory deductions for
the purpose of milk advertis
ing by dairy farmers in the
northeastern states; super pools
and their effect on the income
of milk producers; increased
cost of milk production com
pared to estimated blend prices
for 1971; supply and demand
picture and marketing condi
tions in the five federal order
markets of the northeast re
gion.
Eastern’s activities during the
past year will be reviewed by
John C. York, general manager
of the Association.
