Saturday, February 6, 1971 Soil, Water Conservation District Meets The Lancaster County Soil and Water Conservation Dis trict meeting was held Wed nesday evening at the Farm and Home Center Seveial up coming meetings weie discuss ed It was reported that the Eph rata Jaycees will hold meetings at Ephrata and New Holland on plans to form a watershed to clean up pollution in the Indian Run basin The Ephrata meeting is sche duled for 7.30 p m February 18 at the high school and the New Holland meeting has been set foi 730 p m March 10 at the High School Refreshments will be seived at both meetings An Octoraio watershed meet ing was announced for Febru aiy 18 at Octorara High School The watershed previously held a meeting January 22 A meeting to discuss pollu tion of Mill Ci eek was announc ed for next Thursday, February 11 at 7 30 p m at the Farm and Home Center Sponsored by the Federated Spoilsmen of Lan caster County, the meeting will include at least five speakers The distnct discussed its an nual FFA public speaking con test and 4-H roundup in April at the Farm and Home Center No exact date was set, how ever Plans for the district’s annual banquet March 23 at the Farm and Home Center also were re viewed Price was set at $3 for a family style dinner.
