Hardin recently an nounced continuation of the Special Milk Program for the 1970-71 school year. The Secretary said all State agencies are being notified by wire to authorize schools and child-care institutions to operate the program at year-age levels through October 15, 1970, the expiration date of the Congres sional "continuing resolution” under which all USDA pro grams are opeiating pending passage of the appropriations bill. Both the Senate and the House have approved $lO4 mil lion for the Special Milk Pro gram for the year ending June 30, 1971. The USDA appropria tions bill is now awaiting action by a Senate-House Conference.
