It was because they have been “fine tenants" that the decision was made to rebuild, he said. The Ketterings have some dry cows and heifers on another farm on Colebrook Road, Man heim RDI But their herd of 45 Holstein cows is being housed until the new barn is ready for operation by the Black & White Holstein Farm, Lancaster. “If it hadn’t been for the Myers’, we would have probably had to sell the cows,’’ Kettering said. But while the Brethren Church was actively involved in the barn raising, Pastor Rosen berger noted the active par ticipation of many members of other denominations, including Amish.
