Grant? will return to Western
Pennsylvania for its annual
(88th) convention, October 26*29,
in Meadvillc, A. Wayne Read
in ger. master, said recently fol
lowing approval by -the executive
committee.

Crawford County, committee
chairman, said host for the affair
will be the Crawford Pomona
Grange that embraces 31 sub
ordinate units m the county. One
of these. Meadvillc Grange, No.
1459, lists Governor Raymond P.
Shafer, a Meadvillc resident,
among its 369 members.
Delegates will elect a complete
slate of officers for the ensuing

officials, state deputies and sub
ordinate bodies whose 3,578
members make Crawford the No.
1 Grange county in the state.
Fifth (Pomona) and sixth
(state) degrees will be conferred
on large classes of candidates and
awards will be presented to win
ners m “Granger of the Year”

tests.
