She enjoys listening to soft music and dancing to soul music. She played volleyball on the school team four years. She also likes badminton and swimming. I consider myself lucky to have this opportunity.” The Browns, though not living on a farm, grew up in the southern end of the county, Mr. Brown from Chestnut Level and Mrs. Brown, the former Doris Jamison, grew up in Fairmount, Mr. Brown had an electrical appliance store until this spring in Quarryville for 28 years and at Chestnut Level for one year. Mrs. Brown, a graduate of Millcrsviljc State College taught school 3d,yefcrs.. She taught in Fairmount'and Oregon Schools in Drumorc Township, fifth and sixth grade in Strasburg and was principal and taught eighth grade in 'Little Britain Elemen tary School* one year. She has been teaching special education in Quarryville for the past 14 years, as well as Head Start in the Solanco' District the past few summers. Browns have two daughters. Mary Kay graduated from Mc- Pherson College in Kansas this past June and will teach fifth grade in North Jackson School District, near Holton, Kansas this year. Barbara has had one year at Indiana State College, Pa. and is majoring .in Home Economics. He has Just started his term as their, president. Browns enteriained another girl visiting America under this same pro* gram one other year. Both Mr. and Mrs. Brown have been mem bers of Fulton Grange for many years and arc members of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Quarryville. Brown’s have a sizeable veg etable garden and a small or chard of young dwarf fruit trees. They have much nice shrubbery and flowers around their home and spacious lot. Mrs. Brown has tried her hands at many crafts, the latest being egg decoupage and ceramics. She has started a collection of antique glass or china shoes. She is fond of antiques and has records of Mr. Brown’s family that dates back to the year 1050. She also has several pieces of real anti que furniture that have come down through his family.
