The house is the Hans Hen
house and the family which once
occupied the house claims many
descendents in Lancastei Coun
ty.
In April 1960, the Mcnnonite
Research Journal repotted that
pioneer David Martin maincd
Barbara Herr, a gianddaughtei
Of Hans Hen
Peter Martin, a grandson of
David Martin, in 1819 moved
with 14 children to an aiea thiee
miles north of Wateiloo, Ontano
Judith, another child, was bom
in Canada
