Board Meeting
Following a lecenl meeting of

ty of Fai m Women of Lancaster
County, it was announced that
Mis Glenn Mycr. Kiikwood. sec
ond vice president, has been ap
pointed to replace Mrs E. Rob
ert Molt, who recently resigned,
as representative to the Farm
and Home Center board of direc
tor.

next year. A definite decision

confidence for making immediate
decisions on behalf of the So

The problem of large amounts
of snow on house and barn roofs
this Winter has been quite com
mon; as this melts and then re
freezes. the eve trough and
spouts get full of ice, with ice
dams also on the roof. When
fuither thawing occuis. water
may be backed up under the
shingles and into the interior of
the house. When this condition
is present, it is very difficult to
do much about it at the time ex
cept to tiy and open some of the
loof dams However, a well insu
lated house will reduce the
amount of loof thawing and
