On November 25, 1969, USDA
published a notice of intent to
cancel all othei DDT uses except
those detei mined to be neces
sary for protection of health and
other essential uses of DDT for
which no suitable substitutes are
available The public, scientists,
and industry were given 90 days
in which to submit their view's
and comments
