livestock at the stables were pen
ned near the blaze but were
quickly heided away from the
smoke There was no los„ of ani
mals
Harold A Hess, secretary-trea
surer of the stables said damage
to the buildings appeared min
imal and credited the quick re
sponse of firemen with contain
ing the blaze
Hess said operations at the
stables were continuing as usual
with the exception that all cattle
were being loaded from the east
end of the stables instead of the
west
Fire companies responding
