Local Receipts included 76 percent slaughter steers and 20 percent slaughter heifers with balance mostly cows. Overall finish of slaughter steers im proved over past week with 16 percent Prime and 75 percent Choice, compaied with 14 per cent Prime and 76 percent Choice last week and 11 per cent Prime and 80 percent Choice last year. Average cost and weight slaughter steers es timated at 28 75 and 1165 lbs. compared with 29.16 and 1172 lbs last week and 28 81 and 1141 lbs. last year.
