Speaking at the banquet for
670 persons, Tuesday evening,
November 26, Secretary Lyng
cautioned the people who ex
pect to have immediate pro
grams “pulled out of a hat” to
solve the agricultural dilemma
that faces this nation.
The 116 delegates, represent
ing 3300 dairy farmers in Dela
ware, Maryland, New Jersey
and Pennsylvania, passed a re
solution on Wednesday, Novem
ber 26, recommending that In
ter-State take the initiative to
study milk hauling problems for
the purpose of improving the
dairy farmers’ position in the
marketing place.
