in conservation and recreational
concern, the show will sponsor a
basic and hard-driving program
to promote awareness for and
participation in the conditions
tbat demand that a stop be
brought to stream pollution.
The Eastern Sports and Out
door Show has become an out
door recreation focal point and
acts as a showcase for a fourteen
•late area. This area is comprised
of Pennsylvania, New Jersey,
Delaware, Maryland, District of
Columbia, Virginia, West Vir
ginia, Ohio, New York, and all
of New England Each of these
dates has a prime recreational
resource of streams, rivers and
lakes The major portion of this
vast water resource is now pol
luted; some of it is beyond re
clamation.
The 1970 Eastern Sports and
Outdoor Show theme will set the
mood and pace to develop a high
level of concern foi the piesent
and future of stieam protection
and conservation The many
thousands of spoilsmen and out
door people who attend the show
during the week of Febiuary 9-
14 will join to help launch this
drive in the name of conserva
tion and pollution control.

entire facilities for a solid grass
roots approach to bring aware
ness into action. All citizens will
be invited to participate and the
Eastern Sports and Outdoor
Show will continue to form sug
gestions and guidelines for the
use of outdoor clubs and sports
