As usual, a milky group of show cows were assembled for the inspec tion of nationally famous judge John McKitrick from Columbus, Ohio, and when the final plac ings were announced, H. D. Matz’s three-year-old Thornlea Textal Supreme daughter was the grand champion and his four-year-old Rockdale Presi dent cow was the second place animal. The secom place cow went to Paul Zim merman, Ephrata Rl, for $1,47i and the third place cow show] by Norman Kolb, 55 Pitney Rd, Lancaster, sold to Willian Keple from Wisconsin for $1 150. In all, seven cows sold from $1,060 to $2,400 and the top 25 head averaged $995. The top 50 head averaged $835 and the top 100 cows averaged $7lO.
