He was raised on a livestock farm in Montgomery County and graduated from high school there. He served in the Navy in such places as Europe, East Africa and South America. Kerr graduated from Delaware Valley College in 1967 and taught Vo-Ag at Parkland High School in Lehigh County for two years. He also has degrees from Tem ple University and Penn State. Wrestling is his hobby having taught it and was a member of the team for four years. He also sang in the Glee Club* Abraham Lincoln High School in Philadelphia is where he grad uated.
