Seeding Lawn
We repeat the recommenda
tion that late August to eaily
September is one of the veiy
best times of the year to seed
a new lawn or a new pastuie
The cooler weathei of the fall
months with more constant
moisture supplies aie favorable
to rapid growth of the grasses
and good root development
Early fall seedmgs have a much
better chance of surviving the
hot, diy weather of next sum
mer than seedmgs made next
spring. A complete soil test will
give the amount of lime and fer
tilize! that should be worked
into the topsoil before the grass
seeding is made
