Receipts 70 percent slaughter steers, 25 percent heifers, the balance mainly cows. Overall finish of slaughter steers slightly more attractive than last week with 16 percent Prime and 73 percent Choice. This compares with 15 percent Prime and 68 percent Choice last week, and 15 percent Prime and 71 percent Choice last year. Average cost and weight of slaughter steers,, estimated *at 3150 and 1160 lbs. compared with 29.74 and 1143 lbs. last week, and 27.80 and 1166 lbs. last year.
