The plowing championships will be one of the feature attrac tions of the 1969 Agricultural Progress Days scheduled at Fox Chase Farms adjacent to the Towanda Airport. Agricultural Progress Days, which will also feature thiee dairy shows, forage and forestry field days, and a women’s pro gram. is being sponsoied by the Coopeiative Extension Services of The Pennsylvania State Umv eisity and Cornell Univeisity, Pennsylvania Grassland Council, and State Plowing Contest Com mittee. “Plowmen will be competing in three devisions again this year,” said Charles Slaton, of the U.S. Soil Conservation Service, Harrisburg, contest chan man “These include small plow, level land (two and three bottoms); large plow, level land (four bot tom or larger), and contoui,” he added.
