April 18, 1969
Mrs Chailes Risser announced
a group trip to Hanover, Pa, on
May 24 Mis Risser, the club
leader, also gave a talk about
the leads of a horse and about
the point of balance on a horse
The group discussed selling
ads for the horse show at Mt
Airy on May 4.
A trail ride is planned £Ol May
10 at 1:00 pm beginning at

guests in a retirement home
and a campout for the older

SADDLE CINCHES

The Saddle Cinches 4-H Horse
and Pony Club met on Friday,
Apnl 18, at 7.30 pm at the
faim of Mr. Charles Hershey
RD. 2, Mount Joy, for the
monthly meeting. Twenty-three
membeis and thiee leadeis were
present
Discussed at the meeting were
the Boots and Saddles 441 Club
Open Horse and Pony Show, the
date for the Saddle Cinches
Horse Show, a future trip for
the club to Willowbrook, a trail
ride, and other future plans
After the meeting the mem
bers learned how to make a hay
not and each completed one be
fore going home. Also a contest
was held to name different
oreeds of hoises
The next meeting will be
held at the home of Mr. Albert

Open Horse & Pony Show Satur

held at Bar-B-Acres on the Lititz
road between the Manheim pike
and Fruitville pike. Mr. Bud
Gochenauer will be the judge.
There will be 21 classes with a
trophy and four ribbons in each
class. Also, a children’s cham
pionship trophy and reserve
championship ribbon. An adults
championship trophy and re
serve championship ribbon.
