says, “The people of Lancaster
County are conservation minded.
They should realize that protec
tion of natural resources is a
basic princiolc ot conservation.
Forest conservation prospects
are dismal in the wasted area of
a forest Eire.
“Enjoy your lime in the woods
—with caution. Bum debris only
on law fire risk days. If yon do,
wo will have woodland to enjoy
next year."

Fewer Package Sizes
Some food manufacturers
have agreed to reduce the mini--
her of different package sizes,
says Harold Neigh, Penn State
extension consumer economics
specialist. As of January 1,1969,
breakfast cereal is to be pack
aged in whole ounces, except
for individual servings, and the
number ef package sizes re
duced from 33 to 16. Cookie
ind cracker manufacturers are
reducing the number of pack
age sizes from ”3 to 58. Many
other food manufacturers alto
plan to reduce the number of
package sizes for their products.
