Proper sewage disposal is a
subject of concern to many pio
peitv owners as well as local
government and health officials.
With the gradual inciecse in
population the problem of waste
disposal becomes more impor
tant A better understanding of
soil types and of various sewage
disposal systems would be
helpful to all of us. In lime
stone country the danger of con
tamination of local water sup
plies is very important and one
that requires careful planning
and designing to a\oid trouble
An opportunity to learn more
about this subject will be pro
vided thiough a public meeting
sponsored by our Extension
Service on Thursday evening.
March 27th, at 7:30 p.m. in the
Farm and Home Center. We
urge all those with a problem,
or those interested in learning
more about sewage disposal, to
attend this meeting.
Marimba’* Origin
Music experts say that the
Marimba is neither of Ameri
can Indian nor of Spanish ori
gin. Because it resembles the
native African limba in tone
and name the accepted theory
is that a Negro slave from Afri
ca made the first one, using
gourds as sounding boxes.
