Society of Farm Women 2 met
recently in the home of Mrs
Warren Kline, Fruitville Pike,
Manheim. Co-hostess was Mrs
Eva Keener
Mrs. Grace Hahn led devo
tions.
Contributions were made to
Easter Seals, Cancer Society, the
Farm and Home Center and
Halfway House.
The program consisted of a
display -of handcraft made by
various members, including
knitting, weaving, rug making,
embroidery, engraved cards and
dressed dolls.
The group will entertain So
ciety 5 at the Farm and Home
Center April 19
The society will meet in the
home of Mrs Andrew Low to
make cancer pads on April 9

way House.
The program was in charge
of Mrs. John Frantz. It was
patterned after a television pro
gram with members participat
ing.
On April 3, the group will be
entertained by Society 20 at
the Kirkwood Hall. A Mother
and Daughter banquet will be
held May 13 at the Willow Val
ley Restaurant.
A shopping trip was taken to
King of Prussia and Plymouth
meeting by mmbers of Society
27 on Tuesday, March 25 Roll
call was answered by telling

The next meeting of the So
ciety will be a Mother and
Daughter Social on April 29 in
the Fellowship Hall of the
United Methodist Church, Mt.

Save time by having all equipment in good working order
before you start to sew
Check the back of the pattern envelope
for suitable fabrics, findings, and yardage
needed for various fabric designs, such as
stripes, plaids, diagonals, and one-way designs
Heed the words “Not Suitable’’ for pattern
design
If the fashion fabric has special interest in
texture and/or design, choose a simple pattern
style to show off the fabric If fabric is a
classic type, it’s your opportunity for more
sewing details
Study your pattern Check the fit of it
and make needed alterations
Prepare fabric befoie cutting out pattern

Cut out pieces accoiding to
