Soil and Water Conservation Curb met rn the basement of the Hmkletown Church on Feb 21, at 730 The meeting was called to order by Clark Stauffer, President. The club decided to give SlOO 00 to the Farm and Home Center Mary Ann Weaver was elected secretary when Lucy Weaver an nounced her resignation She could no longer attend the meet ings. Jay Irwin showed the club a film called “The Renaissance of a River”. The film showed steps being taken to conserve the purity of the Susquehanna River. The meeting was adjourned at 9 00. SOUTHERN LANC. CO. SOIL & WATER CONSERVATION The third meeting of the Southem Lancaster County Soil and Water Conservation 4-H Club was held recently. Jay Irvin, associate county agent, showed a film and Paul Sch wing related how he won in an essay contest Vincent Hoover, club leader, also spoke to the group The next meeting will be held at the Rawlmsville Fire Hall A demonstration on fire equip ment will be given.
