Form Labor Camp
Operators Must Have
Proper Licensing
Faim labor camp operators
and owners in Pennsylvania
ha\e been notified by the State
Labor and Industiy Depaitment
that under no cucumstances
will camps be allowed to oper
ate this year without proper
licensing.
John K. Tabor, State Secre
tary of Labor and Industry, said
today that applications for reg
istration certificates were mail
ed out last week along with let
ters spelling out the Common
wealth’s new camp inspection
proceduie.
Tabor said each of the appro
ximately 375 farm labor camps
in Pennsylvania will be inspect
ed at least 45 days prior to
opening. Earlier inspections
this year will allow ample time
for operators to make changes
or corrections to comply with
State health and safety regula
tions.
