State Diagnostic Laboratory,
Somerdale.
Speaking on the subject,
“Poultry Health Management”,
Mallison, called Leukosis the
major disease problem account
ing for 49 per cent of all poul
try diseases. “It is a very com
plex problem because many
other diseases show the same
type of symptoms,” he said

the bird strain exists,” he said.

Mallinson said there diseases de
creased in 1968 along with
Hemorrhagic Disease, Bronchi
tis, Epidemic Tremons, Gum
boro’s Disease and Black head.

control certain levels of expo

respiratory disease, you should
get your birds to the laboratory
immediately,” he said. He re*
commended the Penn State
vaccination program where you
vaccinate every three months,
as very good.
