Staged At Harrisburg Show
HARRISBURG The Penn

held its annual banquet at the
Penn Harris Hotel on Wednes
day, during the Farm Show.
Featured speaker was Dr.

Pennsylvania Poultrymen oper
ated their Food Booth on the
main floor of the Farm Show
Building. Foods served include
pickled eggs, egg nog, turkey
and chicken sandwiches, chicken
corn soup. An all White meat
hi oiler sandwich was added to
the menu this year as the fea
tured new item
On the Governor’s Pieview
Day Sunday at the show, Penn
sylvania Poultry Queen, Gale
Romesbeig, piesented a 35 lb
tuikey as a pioduct represent
ing her industiy, to Governor
Shafei She with 11 olhei agii
ci Itural commodity queens

Pennsylvania State Police Rodeo
in the Aiena, and weie ambas

making them members of the
100,000 Pennsylvanians
With the cooperation of the
Pennsylvania Poultry Fedeia
tion, Pennsylvania State Uni
versity, and the Bureau of
Markets, Penna Dept, of Agri
culture, the Poultry exhibit was
revised to include not only the
live bird displays, but the com
plete story of the egg fiom its
incubation, through the growing
and laying process of the young
chicken, to the giading and
packaging of the egg New Poul
tiy pioducts weie featuied in
tastefully decorated refngeiated
cases, and home economists
weie on hand daily in a display
kitchen cooking lecipes using
poultiy and eggs to advantage.
The Penna. Game Breeders
Association also had displays in
dicating the growing of game
buds as a fine hobby venture.
