Program was in charge of Mrs. Doris Whithcad, Paradise. She showed many ways to ar range dry flowers, permanent flowers and a variety of Christ mas decorations. An invitation was extended to the women to attend the open house of Shrin er’s Flowers, Paradise, on Dec. 7 and 8. Co-hostesses for the meeting included Mrs. Roland Heidel baugh, Mrs. Grayson Cooner, Mrs. Howard Steinberg, Mrs. Frank Aument and Mrs. Clair DeLong. Mrs. Paul Harnish was in charge of devotions. Miss Ethel Kendig, president, was mistress of cere monies. Michael Hocking gave several selections at the organ. Guest for the evening, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Frey and family, sang as a family group. Special guests were Mr. and Mrs. Scott Nissley. Mrs. Nissley is the county president. At their recent meeting held in the social room of Mellmg er’s Lutheran Church, Schoe neck, Rollin Rheimheimer, an employe of the Menno Travel Service spoke of his experiences while he and his family were stationed in Kinshasa, Africa. The next regular meeting will be held Dec. 21 in the Fue Hall, Mt. Airy. Hostess will be Mrs. Earl Miller. This meeting will be the an nual Christmas party for mem bers and their children. SOCIETY 13 At a recent meeting of Socie ty 18 Mrs. John Bachman, direc tor of the Blind Association, ex plained how that gioup oper ates, and displayed vaiious ar ticles made by blind people The meeting was held in the home of Mrs. Jay E. Landis, 122 Her shey Ave. The Society appropriated $25 for use at the Embreeville State Hopsital. A special committee will make a study to see how the money can he used most effec tively. The next meeting will be held in the home of Mrs T. Hershey Rohrer, 1635 State St., E Peters burg on Dec. 14 instead of Dec. 21. SOCIETY 27 The Show and Tell portion of the meeting of Society of Farm Women 27 extended through out the evening as members ex changed holiday ideas and ex plained the “how to” of Christ mas favors, decorations and or naments. The meeting with 21 present was held in the home of Mrs. Harold Mellmger, Mount Joy Rl, with Mrs Musser Ebersole as co hostess.
