Dr. Carl S. Winters, world traveler and former head of one of the greatest Baptist churches in America, cautioned against the misuse of “durgs and such other devices” as an escape in this confused and unsettled period of our history, and said this “escape pattern” is of in ternational scope and not only an American problem. The appointment is subject to Senate confirmation. Funk was first named to the commission by Gov. William W. Scranton in 1963 and reappoint ed in 1965. Terms on the com mission are for two years.
