Paul Lyet, 11, vice president and general manager of the New Holland Di vision of Sperry Rand Corpora tion. In announcing the closing of the Farmec plant, Lyet said that manufacturing operations will be integrated into other com pany plants. It is expected that most of the people of the Farmec plant will be employed at the facilities in New Holland The New Holland Farmec Di vision occupies the former Smoker Farm Elevators, Inc. plant which New Holland ac quired in October, 1958. The di vision manufactures silage and feeding equipment systems, con veying systems and liquid man uie handling systems. Because of the high cost for herd replacements, cows that stay in the herd longer and achieve high lifetime production have proven to be more profit able.
