Julia Harnish Mrs Robeit Martin was the adult leadei in charge Tile piogram for the evening consisted of a talent show, which was piesented in the outer of a ]i\e television variety show with members of the club par ticipating The talent consisted of piano solos by Debbie Lefec er Judith Gaibei. Three live TV com mercials wore presented by Patty Eshleman, Debbie Degen hqrdl, and Pamela Martin. Bar bie Huber and Debbie Lefever. Donald Martin. Ted Huber and Tim Breneisen presented a comedy skit using a trumpet, clarinet and a violin A second comedy skit was presented bj Paula Harnish. Patty Esh- Icman and Beverly Martin.’Tho Judges then selected Ted Huber as the Penn Willow 4-H Club King. Beverly Martin acted ns Master of the Ceremonies for the Talent Show and Peggy Esh lemnn MC’d the King Contest. The next meeting of the club will be held on October 4, ID6B at 7-.30 The program will be a Halloween Party. GARDEN SPOT COMMUNITY The Garden Spot Community 4-H Club met on Monday Even ing, Sept. 9 at the Smoketown Elementary School The club touied the Intelligencer Journal building. Mr Joe Kuntz and - Mr. Roger Clark were the guides who showed them through the newsroom, advertisement, photography and the printing rooms They were told manv in teresting facts some of which are that the newspaper office uses 8 rolls of paper a day and they weigh approximately 1600 lbs, they print 48,000 papers and hour and have 450 full time employees and 1200 carnei boys They also print the York Sunday News Following the tour thev had a short business meeting.
