GRANGE NEWS FARM WOMEN NEWS Fulton Grange *66 held their annual picnic at the Grange hall in Oakryn, July 22,7:30 p.m. Ap proximately eighty people were in attendance. The committee in charge was Mrs. Thomas Gal breath, Mrs. Charles Ambler and Mrs. Alfred Overly. Quoits and horse-shoe pitching were enjoy ed. Games were in charge of Mrs. Stanley Stauffer Jr, Mrs. Jacob Fantom and Mrs. Donald Hess. The Grange sponsored a bus trip to the Oriole-Tiger base ball game in Baltimore July 26. The next regular meeting will be held August, 12, 8 p.m. at the Grange hall. Approximately 130 persons attended the event. Pic nic meals were served both at noon and supper time. Featured was chicken potpie and fried chicken. A short business meeting was held with Mrs Willie D. Stober, president, in charge. Games and contests were held and prizes were awarded. Mysterious sisters were re vealed and new ones chosen for the 1968-69 season. Mrs. Clarence Stauffer, chairman of the 1969 program committee, announced the hostesses to serve at meet ings during the season The next meeting will be held Aug. 17 in the social room of the Lincoln Lutheran Church. Dur ing this session members of 4-H Clubs will be entertained. Mrs. Robert Hollinger will be hostess. SOCIETY 27 Society of Farm Women 27 and their families met recently at Sico Park, Mt. The annual family picnic cov ered dish supper of Society of Farm Women 4 was held in the Salunga Fire Company pavilion recently with approximately 60 persons attending. The president, Mrs. Richard S. King, announced the executive board of the Society of Farm Women of Lancaster County meeting on Aug. 7 at 12-30 p.m in the Salunga pavilion. This meeting may be attended by all members and their families, with each bringing a covered dish for a mutual table. Mrs. Paul Kauffman announc ed a special activity for Aug. 14 is a tour of Zausner’s Cheese plant on Custer Av& plant on Custer Avenue, New Holland, and the Victor Weaver Chicken processing plant, also in New Holland.
